Our Lab has recently acquired a Confocal Microscope with the aim to carry out Nitrogen Vacancy (NV)-based sensing and quantum sensing experiments on magnetic materials, by combining optical and microwave excitations (see e.g. Kim et al. Nature Electronics 2, 284 (2019) or Radu et al. ACS Sensing 5, 703 (2020) ). Thesis projects on the development and testing of the new set-up are available. For further information, please contact Prof. Marco Affronte and/or Dr. Alberto Ghirri.
